Twenty years ago I discovered joy, excitement and beauty through kayaking. I often trailed behind the others, attempting to capture that special light or hold on to that magical moment, camera in hand. Photography allowed me to keep a visual record of my travels, from the intimacy of spotting an animal in their natural environment to the grandeur of a wide vista that opened before me. When the images are scaled up from the tiny camera screen to a framed print, the beauty of the natural world shines through. My wish is that you enjoy these images as much as I have enjoyed photographing them.
In 2005, I began a kayaking group to make new friends to join in my adventures. My journey now approaches 600 trips, thousands of photos and many new friends. I encourage you to seek adventure and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you.
