The Friends of the Dobbs Ferry Library is a non-profit organization comprised of community residents like you who share a commitment to promoting and preserving a strong local library.
Our members and donors provide support of the library through our advocacy and awareness work, as well as our volunteer and fundraising programs. We sponsor many of the library's popular programs as well as manage an endowment fund that supplements the library's long-term funding needs.

Current Projects are:
Operation Baby Shower
Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion in Dobbs Ferry is part of this National project.
They make baskets, etc. for military pregnant wives whose spouses are deployed.
Guidelines: They are looking for baby blankets, sweaters, hats or even booties in colors of your choice.
They are due in the library on March 1st by 4:30 pm. Some guidelines: must be smoke-free, scent-free, take care with pets around your project, no washing necessary.
November's Giving Trees Scarves.
Guidelines for Scarves: smoke-free, take care of pets around your projects, please wash them but with a clear laundry detergent. A lot of people are allergic to fragrance and pets. Please make them a minimum of 5" wide by 50" long.
We are seeking donations of yarn.
