Friends of the Dobbs Ferry Library
Who we are. What we do.
The Friends of the Dobbs Ferry Library is a non-profit organization comprised of community residents like you who share a commitment to promoting and preserving a strong local library.
Our members and donors provide support for the library through our advocacy, awareness, and fundraising work.
Our mission includes:
- Informing and engaging the community as to our library's resources, services, and needs
- Sponsoring and engaging volunteer services for the library
- Supporting staff enrichment.
- Sponsoring cultural programs and exhibits
- Purchasing items for the library above and beyond the library's ordinary budget
- Encouraging sustaining gifts to the library
Thanks to the generosity of the Friends, the library now has much needed new tech items such as new iPads and a printer cart for the 3D printer. The Friends funding has allowed the library to bring new innovative programming while continuing to deliver old favorites like the Summer Reading Program. To help maintain the quality of our collections, we also supplement the library’s acquisition budget.
The Friends meetings are usually held on the 3rd Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the Library.
