The Friends are a non-profit organization whose members support the the Dobbs Ferry Library through volunteer services, fundraising and advocacy.
We sponsor many of the library's most popular programs, and we manage an Endowment Fund that supplements the library's long-term funding needs.

Steve Ruff, museum educator and environmental educator, will describe the geologic history of the river from Lake Tear of the Clouds in the Adirondacks to the Atlantic Ocean at New York Harbor. He will discuss man's presence along the banks of the river and talk about the Native Americans, the Dutch, and the English settlers.
